GREETINGS, BROTHERS AND SISTERS. GHF means God Has Forgiven and is made up of three founding members of the 4-time Grammy Award winning band, Petra. Gospel Music Hall of Fame members guitarist Gregory Hough, bassist John DeGroff and drummer Bill Glover are joined by keyboardist Pastor John Moser to make up the music ministry of GHF. If you would be interested in bringing GHF, Petra or both, please let me know. Thanks for your kind consideration.
BILL GLOVER is a renowned drummer, percussionist, and vocalist with a storied career spanning multiple decades. As a founding member and drummer for the iconic Christian rock band Petra, Bill helped shape the band's signature sound and therefore contributed to their four Grammy Award wins. In addition to his work with Petra, Bill has been involved with various musical projects, including Gene Cotton's band Eli and his own group, GHF (God Has Forgiven). A member of both the Gospel Music Hall of Fame and the Christian Rock Hall of Fame, Bill is celebrated for his talent, dedication, and impact on Christian music. As a writer, musician, and performer, Bill continues to inspire audiences with his passion for music and faith."
As a founding member of the iconic Christian rock band Petra, GREGORY HOUGH has had a lifelong passion for music that spans decades. His journey with faith began on November 27, 1971, when he attended a Bible study despite knowing little about God. It was during this experience that he gave his heart to Jesus and his life was forever changed.
This newfound faith would later become the foundation of a music career with Petra, taking Hough across the country, playing to thousands and sharing the message of faith through rock and roll. After stepping away from the band, he pursued a successful career as a chiropractor in Fort Wayne, Indiana, while continuing to play music on the side. He even explored jazz, learning to play with friend Jerry Farrington.
Years later, he reunited with original Petra members Bill Glover and John DeGroff, recapturing the magic of their early days together. About fourteen years ago, Hough released an album with Bill and John called "God Has Forgiven," featuring twelve original songs. More recently, he's been performing with the band, including a notable appearance at a secular rock festival in Fort Wayne. GHF's music and ministry continue to inspire. He is grateful for the opportunity to share his story and music with others.
JOHN DEGROFF John DeGroff, bass player for GHF, is another founding member of the original Petra lineup. Along with the first two Petra releases and the GHF projects, DeGroff has also played on the following projects with other artists:
Mary Lefleur (CMM vocalist Mary Lafleur, 1991)
Return From Reality (Cosmonaut Bob, 2002)
Company's Comin' (Old Fashion Faithful, 2007)
Ground Zero (Gary Gerard Group, 2016)
Every Day Is Almost St. Paddy's Day (The Mighty McGuiggans, 2023)
DeGroff released his first solo project, "...demos and other moments..." in 2015.
He started his own band called SALT which released it's first self titled project in 2018, and followed up with SALT 2: Trophy Hunting For Unicorns in 2021.
DeGroff has toured extensively, including playing in singer Troy Shondell's backing band, and working with jazz guitarist Denny Jiosa.
Additionally, DeGroff is a freelance journalist who contributes monthly to the web site ClashDaily.com
PASTOR JOHN MOSER has been active creating music for over 50 years. He has played a number of instruments in multiple settings. He traveled with the legendary group, the Spurrlows, on two different tours in the early eighties as a trumpet player, performing across America and in Europe.
He led and arranged music for the orchestra at Calvary Temple Church in Naperville, Illinois for six years. It was there that he met Greg Hough who had come to Chicago to study chiropractic and was looking for a church band to play in.
John has led worship in a number of churches over the years. Currently, he serves as lead pastor of The Ridge in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he has been ministering since 2017.
As the keyboard player and as a backup vocalist in GHF, he finds a lot of joy playing music for the Kingdom of God with the three legends in the band. He is the father of nine and a very happy grandfather of 13. He and his wife, Eileen have been married for over 40 years.
